About the book
Every page starts as a quiet grid of numbers and slowly becomes a picture, one small mark at a time. One dark pen, six simple marks, 120 hidden pictures.
Look at the number in a square, find it on the key, and draw that mark: a dot, a slash, a cross, a star or a filled square. There is nothing to choose and nothing you can get wrong. Tone builds as the marks collect, and somewhere around halfway the picture arrives.
Blank squares are part of the code, so there is no give-away outline on the page. Animals, faces, landmarks, machines, sea life and plants stay hidden until your own marks bring them out.
