How to play
- Find the front: the arrow on the base points at it.
- Read the top view for the footprint: every filled square needs at least one cube.
- Read the front view (left to right) and the left side view (front on the right) for the heights.
- Build, then watch the panels: green is matched, blue is still to build, red is a cube that shouldn't be seen.
Thick lines in a view mark a change of depth, so a matching outline is not always enough: the lines have to match too. The full method, with worked examples, is in the guide to reading orthographic views.
Why build it in 3D?
Turning flat views into a solid is the core skill behind technical drawing, CAD and the spatial sections of aptitude tests. Building it with your own hands, and seeing each view update as you go, makes the link between the views and the solid click faster than working on paper alone. For quick practice without building, try the 5-question spatial reasoning test.

3D puzzle game questions
How do I play?
Tap a square on the base to drop a cube; tap again to stack another. Switch to Remove to take cubes away, and drag to turn the view. The three panels show the target views: squares turn green as your build matches them.
When is the puzzle solved?
When your build shows exactly the top, front and left side views, thick lines included. All three panels turn green.
What does "hidden means solid" mean here?
Some cubes can hide behind others and never change a view. You can leave them out and still solve the puzzle; the answer counted in the book THINK IN 3D includes them as solid.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Tap to place cubes and drag with one finger to turn the view. The 3D scene only loads when you press Play, so the page stays quick.
Is it free?
Yes, with no account. Your daily streak is kept in your own browser.
